In February 2021, Newberry College hosted its fourth annual W. Darr Wise Piano Competition. The competition is in honor Professor of Music Emeritus W. Darr Wise, who taught at Newberry for a near-record 42 years.
The competition is open to students in middle and high school, with prizes awarded in the junior and senior division. For 2021, the competition was virtual due to the pandemic. We hope to be in-person in 2022 for our fifth year.
